There was a feature request made at the IDUG/IIUG Conference in San Jose in May to create a'User Context'that a connection could use to change it's privs and identity specifically for use by middleware and WEB type applications to be able to restrict data access according to the user the middleware was querying on behalf of and to enable access auditing of the ultimate user at the IDS level. Don't know if the request was accepted and if so when it might show up in server releases, but that sounds like what you need. If you as a client contact IBM and submit a similar feature request along with the business need prompting it, that will go a long way to making it happen. Art S.
